Terms and conditions

Effective date: 24 October 2026 · Last updated: 24 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the Tutral website, book a learning assessment or enrol a student in a Tutral programme. In these terms, “Tutral”, “we” and “us” mean Tutral, and “you” means the student or the parent or guardian who books on the student’s behalf.

By booking an assessment, enrolling in a programme or using this website, you agree to these terms. They work alongside our Privacy policy and our Cancellation & refund policy. Nothing in these terms removes any rights you have under the consumer-protection laws that apply to you.

1. Who can enrol

A student under 18 must be enrolled by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian accepts these terms on the student’s behalf and is responsible for payment and for the student’s use of our services.

Please make sure the information you give us, including the student’s age, grade and curriculum, is accurate and up to date.

2. Our services

Tutral provides live online tutoring for school and college students. Before enrolment we offer a learning assessment to understand the student’s needs, then recommend one of our programmes: 1-to-1 Tutoring, Study Club, Weekend Boot Camp or Exam Crash Room.

The schedule, number of sessions, inclusions and fee for the chosen programme are confirmed with you before you pay. If those programme details differ from these terms, the programme details apply to that programme.

We match each student with a tutor for their curriculum and subject. We may change the assigned tutor where reasonably necessary, for example because of availability or at your request, and will let you know before the next session.

We work hard to help every student improve, but we cannot guarantee particular grades, exam results or admissions outcomes. These depend on many things outside our control, including the student’s own study and attendance.

3. Scheduling and attendance

  • Sessions take place online at times agreed with you, confirmed in your time zone.
  • Students should join on time from a suitable device with a stable internet connection, in a quiet place.
  • Rescheduling, late cancellations and missed sessions are handled as set out in the Cancellation & refund policy.
  • Please arrange all sessions with Tutral tutors through Tutral, rather than privately with the tutor.

4. Fees and payment

  • Fees are shared with you before enrolment and are payable in advance unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • Payments are made through the methods available at the time of purchase. Your bank or payment provider may charge its own fees or apply currency conversion, which Tutral does not control.
  • We may change our fees for future enrolments or membership cycles, but not for sessions you have already paid for.
  • If a payment is not received when due, we may pause sessions until it is settled.

5. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds for each programme are covered by our Cancellation & refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Conduct in classes

To keep classes safe and useful for everyone, students, parents and tutors must:

  • treat each other with respect, with no bullying, harassment, abusive language or inappropriate content;
  • not record, photograph or share sessions, or other students’ names and details, without permission;
  • not share meeting links or class materials with people who are not enrolled.

Parents of younger students should make sure an adult is nearby during online sessions. We may suspend or end a student’s access for serious or repeated breaches of these rules. Any refund in that case follows the Cancellation & refund policy and applicable law.

7. Learning materials

Notes, worksheets, mock tests and other materials we provide are for the enrolled student’s personal study. Please do not copy, sell, publish or share them outside your household without our permission. Copyright in our materials stays with Tutral or the people we license them from.

Some programmes, such as the Study Club, include AI-assisted practice and materials. AI-generated content can contain mistakes, so students should check anything unclear with their tutor.

8. Third-party services

Classes, messages and payments may use third-party services such as video-call platforms, WhatsApp and payment providers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for outages or problems on those services.

9. Using this website

The information on this website is for general guidance and may change. Please do not misuse the site, for example by trying to access it without permission, interfering with how it works or submitting false information through its forms.

10. Tutor applications

If you apply to teach with Tutral, submitting an application does not create an offer of work. We review every application and contact shortlisted applicants; any engagement is on the terms we agree with you separately.

11. Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, such as liability for fraud. Subject to that, Tutral is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for problems caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as internet or power outages. Our total liability for any claim about a programme is limited to the fees paid for that programme.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time and will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Changes will not affect a programme you have already paid for unless the law requires it or you agree.

13. Disputes and governing law

If something goes wrong, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights you have in the country where you live.
